TOC & All Star Q & A Session

What is the Tournament of Champions? Who plays in TOC? Should my child sign a commitment form for All Stars? When is All Stars? What if we have vacation scheduled in July? Those questions and more will be answered during the TOC & All Star Q & A session on Monday, April 25th, at Sunset Field at 5:30pm. Parents, If you have questions, please plan to attend.

 

Coach Evaluations

We welcome and encourage all feedback. Evaluations are helpful in the selection of All Star Managers and in determining Managers for the upcoming fall & spring seasons. Tell us what you like, don't like, suggestions, etc.

 

You’re Invited!

The AnnualBattle of the Lake Tournamentis scheduled for April 18th thru April 24th. Participating Leagues are Allied Gardens, La Mesa National, San Carlos, and Lake Murray. Please join us to cheer on LM Rangers and LM Cardinals! The tournament is a great opportunity for our younger players to see what they have to look forward to in Little League baseball!Check out the Tournament Bracket here!

 

Watch Your Step!

It is the season of the rattlesnake when the sun is hot and the ground is warm! Please keep an eye out for snakes around Sunset Field. We’ve already encountered a few this season. Please remind your kids to stay out of the bushes and weeds. If you see a snake, call Animal Control at 619-667-7536. Please Be Careful!!

 

Closing Day

Closing Day is scheduled forMay 21st.Closing Day is the opportunity for all our Little League players of all ages to come together and have lots of fun. There’s a Coach Dunk Tank, Laser Tag, Glow in the Dark Wiffle Ball game, and Coaches Game to name a few of our favorite things! Teams, now is the time to start thinking about your gift basket donation for our Team Raffle. Mark your calendars!

 

Home Run Derby

The Hit-a-thon will now be known as the Home Run Derby and has been rescheduled to the morning of May 21st. More details to come soon.

Padres Lake Murray Little League Day is May 29th

Thanks to you, we set a LMLL record this year by selling 510 Padre tickets! That’s nearly 200 more tickets than our previous record! Membership

Any adult person actively interested in furthering the objectives of the Lake Murray Little League should register as a Volunteer / Regular Member. Registering grants you Membership and voting privileges giving you the responsibility of electing the LMLL Board of Directors. Sunset Field Parking

Drivers, please be aware that there is no parking in front of the Challenge Center before 6pm on weeknights. These spaces above the park are marked with signs. If you choose to park there, you will be towed.

Skills & Safety Clinic

The next Skills and Safety Clinic is scheduled for Saturday, February 19th, at the Rolando Fields. Check in is at 8:30am. The address is 6660 Vigo Drive, La Mesa, 91942. Participants must sign in and sign out for each clinic to get the proper credit for attending.


Umpire Clinic

There will be two Little League Umpire Clinics at San Carlos this weekend on the 19th and the 20th. They will run from 2:00-4:30 pm each day. They will focus on both Minors and Majors Umpires. Learn basic calls such as a ball, a strike, an out, safe, how to position yourself depending on runners, and more.

Scorekeepers Needed

Major and Minor teams are in need of volunteers who are willing to learn how to use the Game Changer app to keep score during games. For more info, email our Head Scorekeeper, Lisa McCully, at[email protected].


Opening Day Schedule

Attached you will find the Opening Day schedule which includes the team picture schedule, the Opening Ceremony time, and the game times for Majors, Minors, and Caps teams. There will be no games on Opening Day for Rookies or Tball.


Padre Tickets

Join the League and the fun at the Padres Youth Baseball Day on May 29th! Tickets are $25. Ask your Team Mom about purchasing tickets today! Tickets are limited so please do not wait too long to order yours.

Assessments are January 22nd

Assessments are Saturday. If you did not receive an email, please contact us for your player’s scheduled time. Expect your child’s assessment to last an hour.

10am: Assessment for Pitcher & Catchers. Majors & Minors invited to attend in addition to your scheduled time.

Don’t forget your glove, helmet, bat, and cleats!


Coach & Safety Clinic

Coaches, the first scheduled Coach and Safety Clinic is Sunday, January 23rd. See attached flyer for details.


Tball Managers Needed ASAP

We are still in great need of 2 or 3 team managers for tball. We cannot choose teams until we have enough managers. We will help direct you on how to manage a tball team. Please consider being a volunteer. Sign up today!

 

Draft Day is January 29th at 9:00 am

Meet your Head Coach/Manager, your team, and get your baseball cap on Draft Day!

Kona Ice will be at the field from 10am to noon!

 

Team Practices

Practices will begin the week of February 1st. Days and times will vary. Check with your team manager for details.

Uniforms

Expect your baseball jersey before Opening Day. Your team Manager will inform you of what color pants, socks, and belt to purchase.


Opening Day is March 5th

Opening Day is team picture day!.Each player will receive a team pic, 4 wallets, and a button. Additional items will be available for purchase.

Further Opening Day details to be announced in February.

 

Be Safe

Parents, as we are all aware, Covid 19, the flu, and colds are running rampant! Please remind your Little Leaguers to not share equipment or water. Wear a mask when in close vicinity of other people and always wash their hands. Let’s do our best to help prevent the spread of illness!

Feeling Thankful

TheLMLLBoard of Directors would like to thank everyone who has been a part of our League this year. Because of the commitment from the Parents, Kids, Coaches, Managers, Umpires, Scorekeepers, and so many other valuable Volunteers, we are Lake Murray Little League! We thank you for being part of our team!
